Mother is a non-narrative animation that mixes recorded live-action images in time lapse with animation in digital painting and 2D, mixing techniques and aesthetics. Filters and effects were animated frame by frame, which were chosen and controlled manually and individually, mastering the process and creating animation of manipulated frames. This eclecticism and digital craftsmanship were used to present an aesthetic and conceptual approach to the mother of us all: the water.
